koett & wellbeck are back with their second release for pro-tez records. “untitled 9” is a proper skilled brilliant low-slung house composition. with remixes from anton kubikov and xdb, two veterans lay down a lush house groove that s just begging to be played on the dance floor. xdb’s version with sweetly offset dub chords takes us into a club mist of fizzing electronics for a full submerged dub house experience. it is a vinyl only, heavyweight 180 grams pressing, limited to 300 copies.

homoagent is the collaborative project of basque techno and drone artist triames and british electronic composer anton maiof aka antoni maiovvi. vicious darkroom techno working as the fictional soundtrack to one cop’s journey into underground s&m dungeons to catch a killer.

karim sahraoui, known by releases on labels such as transmat, cocoon and arts, as well as dj appearances on boiler room and on dancefloors all around the world, makes his debut on off recordings. book of life is a melodic techno track in karim s signature style. warm and emotional, albeit with a strong drive for the dancefloor, it can set a strong accent in a set. italy s dast created a slamming peaktime techno interpretation, which is sure to create a massive effect on the dancefloor. syncopated chords and a rolling groove build towards an epic break. -exodus- is aptly named as a perfect track to close the set by the end of the night. lush and warm pads and melodies evoke a warm and optimistic atmosphere. anton pieete remixed exodus with a minimalistic and more groove-focused interpretation. altogether an ep with a timeless feel, spanning the borders between techno, house and electronica.

what ever not is the variegated music outlet from experienced dodi palese and dan mela, italian djs and producers supporting, selling, playing and releasing instrumental and dance music for two decades. what ever not tenth record, ‘galegos bar / the ritual’, sees a split release signed by dan mela and marco erroi. label co-founder dan mela inaugurates a new moniker ‘man dela’ for ‘the ritual’ - the original track gets remixed by anton zap, with whom mela already collaborated for a digital release on his own ethereal sound. flipping on the other side, marco erroi, head of common series ltd, continues his production career with ‘xxxv gold fingers’ for the ‘galegos bar’ side – one of the many different aliases he personifies - also contributing by realizing the artwork. ‘galegos bar / the ritual’ offers two sides of the same coin and we can have both things with one stroke. the common denominator is the ethnical ritual. it is fully expressed in the man dela side with deep and hypnotic ride out turned upside down by anton zap with a dynamic electronic waltz. the same item, however, is magically hidden in the xxxv gold fingers side, where we can find it in the form of drink beer and play cards just like in most terrible bars in south of italy.

ben cohens *voyage to rahoz* is dappled with esoteric references invoking the hazy contours of the ever mystical inner zones. it delves gracefully into these realms with the opener *momentum*, which gives way to the mind-expanding workout that is *acid dreams*, a proper luscious piece. on the b-side, *play with humanity* is built around elastic percussive elements and an enigmatic looped-voice. the final cut is an adroit, if not buoyant, rework by the moscow’s top producer anton zap.
